President Japarov emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to enhancing its relationship with Azerbaijan, highlighting significant advancements in bilateral ties. Notable achievements include two high-level visits in 2022 and the resolution of issues that previously impeded cooperation. The President commended the strategic partnership’s current stature, including the formation of an interstate council, the inception of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, and an agreement to construct a 5-star hotel by Lake Issyk-Kul, funded by Azerbaijan.
Minister Bayramov reflected on fruitful discussions with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Jeenbek Kulubaev, covering both bilateral and multilateral engagements, preparations for the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), and the regional circumstances.
Extending an invitation from President Ilkham Aliyev, Minister Bayramov invited President Japarov to participate in the upcoming COP29 event in Azerbaijan.
Both parties acknowledged the effective collaboration fostered through the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, viewing it as a pivotal mechanism for planning priority projects across various sectors.
