From January to October, Azerbaijan welcomed 2.2 million visitors from 186 countries—28.2% more than in the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Tourists from India recorded the most significant growth, increasing by 2.3 times. The leading countries in terms of arrivals remain Russia, Turkey, and Iran.
The number of visitors from EU countries rose by 32.8%, from the Persian Gulf by 28.3%, and from CIS countries by 20.9%. Most tourists (76.1%) chose air travel, the report noted.
