“On December 1, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan began supplying gas to SPP, the largest state-owned energy supplier in Slovakia,” the statement published on SOCAR’s website said.
The company clarified that the supplies are being carried out under a short-term pilot contract between SOCAR and SPP. “The companies aim to develop a more long-term energy partnership,” the statement noted.
Slovakia has become the twelfth country to receive Azerbaijani gas, alongside Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, and North Macedonia.
