“Given these concerns that some people benefit from creating friction between the two countries, Iran has tried to overcome recent tensions through diplomatic initiatives and has used diplomatic approaches to manage relations,” Kanaani emphasized.
According to him, Iran has taken “a politico-diplomatic approach in normalizing relations and, fortunately, we are seeing relative success in this process.”
“The three rounds of phone talks between the foreign ministers were a positive development that brought us to a common approach to dealing with the current situation and reducing tensions between the two countries,” he said.
