The national carrier ADY has designated them as DŞ1.
Each train, measuring 107 meters, consists of 5 cars and one power module.
Three DŞ1 units have been received so far, with another expected by the end of the year.
The composition includes 270 seats for 1st and 2nd class, a toilet, and a bar.
The maximum speed is 160 km/h, but operational speed will be limited to 140 km/h.
The trains are equipped with the Block-5 safety system, allowing distance control to the preceding unit, also equipped with the same system, adjusting speed in case of safety threats.
Train operations are expected to commence in 2024 after testing on the ADY infrastructure.
As per the 2019 contract worth €115 million, Stadler is to deliver 4 diesel trains and 6 electric trains, with the latter planned for handover in 2024.
Last year, train production was relocated from Belarus to Poland.
