The employees of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units, medical specialists and others from about 70 German cities.
Speaking at the forum, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Germany, Nasimi Aghayev emphasized the unity of Azerbaijanis living in Germany: “We all should honestly convey the truth about Azerbaijan to the local community. The Azerbaijani diaspora in Germany is very active and do effective work. It is necessary to continue and strengthen these activities in a joint, tight and coordinated manner.”
The event continued with the screening of an informative video depicting the activities of Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijani diaspora organizations in different countries.
Greeting the participants of the forum, the chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Fuad Muradov congratulated our compatriots on the occasion of this remarkable event and wished success to the work of the forum. He pointed out that the Azerbaijani community has the power and potential to increase the ability to influence the local society and socio-political circles.
“I hope that the II Forum of Azerbaijani Doctors in Germany, held in Berlin, will help to establish close relations between Azerbaijani doctors working abroad and relevant institutions of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani doctors living abroad will contribute to the development of the national healthcare system. I believe that each of you will spare no effort to properly represent our national-moral and state values,” said the Chairman of the Committee.
Then, the address of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, Sahil Babayev, was presented to the forum participants. Wishing success to the work of the forum, the minister gave extensive information about the social reforms implemented in our country.
Nigar Bayramova, Deputy Chairwoman of The State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance, has informed that the expenses allocated to health care from the state budget of Azerbaijan are increasing and this has a serious impact on the protection of the health of the citizens at a higher level.
Vugar Gurbanov, executive director Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), has reminded that a group of Azerbaijani doctors studying and working abroad have already started to work in medical institutions under TABIB in Azerbaijan. It was emphasized that healthcare in Azerbaijan is developed in accordance with the requirements of the new era, and healthcare services are provided to Azerbaijani citizens who moved to Karabakh.
In his speech, Chairman of the Board of the German-Azerbaijani Society, Professor Chingiz Abdullayev, gave information about the long-term activities of the Azerbaijani community in Germany.
At the end of the opening ceremony, commemorative gifts were presented to the Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora and the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany on behalf of the German-Azerbaijani Society.
It should be noted that with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, Cologne hosted the First Forum of Azerbaijani Doctors in Germany on May 5, 2022.
