This was stated by the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aihan Hajizade.
According to him, this resolution, sponsored by a number of groups in the European Parliament under the influence of Armenia and the Armenian lobby, is an integral part of a slanderous campaign against Azerbaijan.
Hajizade noted that every fact in the resolution is falsified, although it is presented as “promoting peace” and ostensibly dedicated to the relations between the European Union and Armenia.
“The European Parliament could be a useful body if it focused on more serious problems facing Europe itself, such as racial discrimination, Islamophobia, xenophobia, extremism, and unacceptable treatment of migrants, rather than interfering in the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” emphasized the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
