Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for COP29, Samir Nuriyev, announced during the second session of the Organizing Committee, reported by “Report,” that the United Nations has positively assessed Azerbaijan’s level of readiness for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Nuriyev reminded that by the order of the head of state, the composition of the Organizing Committee was expanded.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee emphasized that Azerbaijan has already approved a plan of activities related to the Year of Solidarity for Green Peace, and a plan of activities for COP29 has been prepared. Nuriyev noted the importance of coherence between both plans of activities.
Nuriyev also added that the UN has positively evaluated Azerbaijan’s level of preparedness for the upcoming conference.
