Georgia has set a symbolic price for the transportation of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia. As Minval Politika writes, citing News.am, this was stated in a release by Georgia’s Ministry of Economy.

In early December 2025, Georgia provided a one-time free transit of oil from Azerbaijan to Armenia through its territory. The next shipment was transported at the standard tariff, which caused dissatisfaction in Armenia.

Tariffs became the main topic of discussion during a meeting in Yerevan between Georgia’s Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili and Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan.

The Georgian side presented information about major transport infrastructure projects in the country, the full implementation of which is expected to significantly improve connectivity between the two states, facilitate cargo transit from Armenia, and strengthen Georgia’s role as a regional transport hub. It was noted that one of Georgia’s key priorities is the development of safe, reliable, and competitive transport routes.

It should be recalled that, in line with the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, exports of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on December 18 last year, and several batches have already been delivered. The export of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia is purely commercial in nature, with gasoline sold at international market prices.
