This was announced at a press conference by the representative of the UNHCR in Armenia, Kavita Belani.
She noted that the Refugee Affairs Office is deeply concerned about the rapidly changing humanitarian situation in Armenia, and in less than a week, more than 88,700 refugees arrived in Armenia.
In response to a question from the Anadolu Agency, Belani said that no ill-treatment of refugees was registered:
“No cases of ill-treatment have been registered. The long and exhausting journey, traffic jams on the road- this is hard for people. There has been no information about them being subjected to any pressure from anyone.”
