During the meeting, the strategic significance of the partnership with Franklin Templeton, one of the world’s leading asset management companies, was highlighted. It was also emphasized that favorable conditions have been created for further expansion of cooperation.
Founded in 1947 in New York, the company manages assets valued at $1.68 trillion as of September 2024. It includes several business units specializing in equities, bonds, alternative investments, and other types of assets.
Sixty percent of the company’s shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange, while 40% are owned by the Johnson family, whose fortune is estimated at $10.5 billion (according to Forbes, 2023).

Negotiations are underway to establish a long-term partnership between Franklin Templeton and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ). The aim of this collaboration is mutual benefit and the deepening of strategic interactions.
As part of this effort, meetings have been held in Saudi Arabia to discuss cooperation prospects. Additionally, during Jenny Johnson’s participation in COP29 events, negotiations with SOFAZ leadership focused on developing the partnership.
