“We have neither the intention, nor the reason, nor the motivation to start a new war or escalate the situation,” Mirzoyan stated in an interview with the newspaper Correio Braziliense.
The minister also expressed Armenia’s readiness to begin consultations with Azerbaijani partners to determine the time and place for signing a peace agreement. However, Mirzoyan remained silent on Azerbaijan’s key condition for signing the peace treaty — the need to amend Armenia’s constitution, including the removal of claims regarding Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
