This ambitious project aims to forge a stronger connection between Türkiye and the Turkic nations. Uraloglu highlighted that the next five years will be crucial for the corridor’s development, with significant progress already made in negotiations with Armenia, which controls a 43-kilometer segment of the proposed route.
Further, Uraloglu revealed that Iran has expressed interest in participating in the Zangazur Corridor project. Discussions are ongoing to potentially integrate Iran into this strategic initiative. He emphasized the corridor’s importance to regional connectivity and confirmed that Türkiye has already made significant advancements on its 224-kilometer portion of the corridor. Uraloglu expressed optimism that the entire project would reach completion by the targeted 2028 deadline.
