Thirteen documents have been signed between Azerbaijani and Chinese governmental and private structures, providing for cooperation in various sectors, including industry (automotive and light industries) and the promotion of joint investments.

According to the information, the documents were signed in Beijing during the Conference on Promoting China-Azerbaijan Industrial and Investment Cooperation, jointly organized by AZPROMO, the Trade Representative Office of Azerbaijan in China, and the National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC), with the support of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission.
In addition to officials from both sides, around 200 entrepreneurs from industries such as energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, ICT, and others participated in the conference.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to China, Bunyad Huseynov, emphasized that thanks to the joint efforts of the heads of state and the important documents they signed, Azerbaijan-China relations have reached a strategic level and continue to develop progressively.
Yusif Abdullayev, Executive Director of AZPROMO, spoke about the positive trends observed recently in the trade and economic relations between the two countries, highlighting joint projects in the automotive, industrial, ICT, transport-logistics, and other sectors.
At the conference, Zhang Qianhua, Deputy Director of the Foreign Capital and Investment Department of the NDRC, and Duan Yanhong, Deputy Director General of the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, particularly emphasized Azerbaijan’s support for the Belt and Road Initiative and the strategic importance of Azerbaijan’s location within this global initiative.
Chinese officials praised the favorable investment climate created by the Azerbaijani government for foreign investors and expressed interest in encouraging greater participation of Chinese companies in industrial and infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan.
Teymur Nadiroghlu, Azerbaijan’s Trade Representative in China, spoke about the work carried out by the Trade Representative Office to strengthen the trade and investment partnership between the two countries. He noted that Azerbaijan, as a supporter of China’s Belt and Road Initiative, has made a significant contribution to its implementation, thanks to its advantageous geographical location and modernized infrastructure. In this context, Azerbaijan’s role as a hub connecting production and trade activities was highlighted.
During the event, presentations on Azerbaijan’s business climate were delivered by Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Authorized Structure of the Alat Free Economic Zone; Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA); Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM); as well as representatives from SOCAR, AZPROMO, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, and the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency. Representatives of Azerbaijani companies from the industrial, mining, agricultural, and green energy sectors presented their investment projects.
In total, 13 investment projects were presented to the Chinese side. Additionally, an informational exhibition was organized for the conference participants, showcasing printed and visual materials about the investment services provided by local institutions, as well as available discounts and benefits.
Chinese investors who have already invested in Azerbaijan shared their success stories with the conference participants.
Several cooperation documents between state institutions and private companies of the two countries were signed at the conference. AZPROMO and KOBIA signed Memorandums of Understanding with the International Cooperation Center of China’s NDRC, while 4SIM signed agreements with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and the World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC).
In total, 13 documents were signed, outlining cooperation between state and private sectors of both countries in industries including automotive and light industries, as well as the promotion of joint investments.
The conference continued with B2B and B2G meetings.
