Hakan Fidan discussed a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia with Naryshkin

According to the sources, the meeting discussed the resolution of the situation in Ukraine, the situation in the Gaza Strip, in Syria, and the negotiations for a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Before his appointment as Foreign Minister in 2023, Fidan had long headed Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT).

As part of his visit to Russia, Fidan will participate in a meeting of the BRICS+ foreign ministers in Nizhny Novgorod. He is also expected to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, according to Turkish diplomatic sources.
