The Azerbaijani leader particularly highlighted the role of French President Emmanuel Macron in this situation.
“Well, here we go again. You see, Macron’s hand is visible once more. He just can’t stay in his own country. He absolutely has to meddle in Georgia as well,” Aliyev remarked.
At the same time, Aliyev noted that the political situation in Georgia is moving toward stability.
“In Georgia, I see that the situation is stabilizing, and we are pleased about this. Destabilization or the threat of destabilization in Georgia is as harmful for Georgia as it is for Azerbaijan,” Aliyev emphasized.
According to him, Azerbaijan is doing everything it can to ensure that the political situation in Georgia remains stable.
Additionally, the Azerbaijani president pointed to the external influence exerted by Western countries on the situation in Georgia.
“It turns out that thousands of non-governmental organizations operate in Georgia, receiving funding from the West. And we know what this is like because there was a time in our country when grant recipients and grant providers felt quite at ease. But we put an end to that,” Aliyev said.
