According to AZERTAC, James O’Brien expressed satisfaction with the recent phone conversation between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President Ilham Aliyev, highlighting the discussions that took place during it. He emphasized the U.S.’s commitment to promoting a regional peace agenda and the readiness of the United States to support this process. James O’Brien noted the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the U.S. in various fields, including the further development of our strategic-level relations. In this context, issues related to regional cooperation, the Middle Corridor, and others were discussed.
President Ilham Aliyev, recalling his phone conversation with Antony Blinken with satisfaction, said that a wide range of relations was discussed during it.
It was emphasized that successful cooperation in various fields has been established between Azerbaijan and the U.S. since the early days of our country’s independence.
During the conversation, the role of Azerbaijan in Europe’s energy security, cooperation between Azerbaijan and the U.S. in the energy sector, and effective and beneficial consultations between the delegations of the two countries within the framework of COP were noted. It was highlighted that the U.S. will continue to support the successful conduct of COP29.
