During the meeting, they discussed bilateral and multilateral agendas between the United States and Azerbaijan, as well as the current state and prospects of the normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on a bilateral basis, along with regional issues.
Bayramov informed the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State about the post-conflict situation in the region and the negotiations on the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
It was noted that Azerbaijan, as the initiator of the main elements of the peace process with Armenia, is an interested party in establishing peace and stability in the region.
Despite significant progress in the implementation of the project, the importance of amending the Constitution and legislative acts of Armenia, and abandoning ongoing claims on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was emphasized.
