These operations are based on geodetic measurements, as announced by Shahin Mustafayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.
In connection with these activities and to ensure the safety of citizens, Armenia temporarily closed the Baganis-Voskepar highway for mine clearance operations in the areas adjacent to the border. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia clarified that demarcation works are also scheduled for today in this section. However, no changes are expected today along the contact line between Armenia and Azerbaijan. After the completion of the demarcation, border security will be transferred to the Armenian border troops.
