President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree “On the approval of the ‘Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the Development of Trans-Caspian International Transport Routes for the China-Europe Railway Express’,” which was signed on July 1, 2024, in the cities of Baku and Beijing.
According to the decree, following the entry into force of the Memorandum of Understanding mentioned in part 1 of this decree, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with ensuring the implementation of its provisions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan is instructed to notify the Government of the People’s Republic of China regarding the completion of domestic procedures necessary for the Memorandum of Understanding to come into effect.
