“The Bucharest Meeting of the Ministers/Steering Committee on the establishment of the Green Energy Corridor between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary concluded with significant progress on the implementation of the Quadrilateral Agreement and the transformation of Azerbaijan into a European Green Energy supplier. During the meeting, the signing of the Shareholders’ Agreement marked the establishment of a Joint Venture in Bucharest. It was agreed that the leadership of the JV-Green Energy Corridor energy company, which will be responsible for implementing the Feasibility Study, will rotate among the member countries. Additionally, the participants agreed to draft an Action Plan to accelerate the processes leading up to the next meeting. The Feasibility Study will include tasks related to the fiber optic cable line and the integration of Bulgaria into the project. The parties also expressed their support for holding a high-level event dedicated to the project at the COP29 Climate Leaders Summit,” noted Shahbazov.
