The fuel was transported via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline. This information about the volume of gas supplies was provided by the consortium of the pipeline project.
The published information specifies that the gas supplies were delivered to Greece, Bulgaria, and Italy. It is highlighted that last year Azerbaijan increased its gas transfers to the European Union by 18%, reaching a volume of 22 billion cubic meters.
This year, experts predict an increase in exports to 24 billion cubic meters, with more than 12 billion of that destined for European Union countries.
The Trans-Adriatic Pipeline was constructed to transport Azerbaijani fuel from the Shah Deniz field, located in the Caspian Sea, to EU countries.
