Azerbaijan is expelling two employees of the French embassy

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The French Ambassador was informed that two employees of the French embassy have been declared “persona non grata” (unwelcome persons) by the government of Azerbaijan due to their activities being incompatible with their diplomatic status and contravening the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

These individuals were instructed to leave the territory of Azerbaijan within 48 hours, and the respective note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was handed to the French Ambassador.
