Earlier, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the agreement to hold the talks, noting the symbolic significance of the meeting.
Bayramov also reported significant progress in the delimitation of borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia, stating that both sides have jointly demined the relevant areas and are nearly finished installing border markers. He mentioned that following the exchange of comments on the draft peace agreement at the last meeting in Berlin, preparations for concluding a peace treaty have begun.
