An ethnic Armenian soldier looks toward Azerbaijan's positions during a military conflict against Azerbaijan's armed forces in Karabakh, Oct. 21, 2020.

In an official statement posted on its website on July 26, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said that in total, nine provocative armed incidents were committed by Armenian armed formations on the previous day.

The Azerbaijani army positions were twice shelled in the direction of Lachin District’s Minkand village from positions located in the direction of Garakilsa District’s Saybali settlement on the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.

Another seven attacks were carried out by members of illegal Armenian armed formations on Azerbaijani territory, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed.

The positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Tartar, Aghdam, Khojavand and Khojaly districts were shelled.

In all cases, the Azerbaijani army units suppressed the enemy with appropriate retaliatory measures.
