You may recall that a number of Turkish publications wrote the day before that the ammunition of Su-25 fighters of the Azerbaijani Air Force now includes 230-kg MK-82 and 450-kg MK-83 general-purpose unguided bombs, which the wing-assisted guidance kit from TÜBİTAK-SAGE turns into long-range air-to-ground smart weapons.
Azerbaijani fighters, upgraded to be equipped with these types of bombs, took part in the “Anatolian Eagle” exercise, held jointly with the Turkish Air Force. With the KGK wing-assisted guidance kit, MK-82 and MK-83 bombs have the capability of precision hitting of target from 100 km range, in all weather conditions, providing aircraft to complete the mission safely without entering into enemy air defense zone.
Greek Pentapostagma writes that the Shusha Declaration signed between Türkiye and Azerbaijan implies joint actions of the two countries against emerging threats, saying that in the event of a conflict with Greece, Türkiye counts on the support of Azerbaijani special forces and aviation.
“We can conclude from the above that in case of a military confrontation with Türkiye, Greece should consider Azerbaijan, and more precisely, its air force and special forces, as a potential enemy,” the Greek publication speculates. “Their involvement will create additional opportunities for the Turkish Special Forces and Air Force at both tactical and strategic levels. As a result, even if Greece destroys the airbases in the territory of Türkiye with strategic munitions and missiles, the F-16 aircrafts of Turkish Air Force can refuel in the airspace of Azerbaijan and strike at the strategic facilities deep in the territory of Greece.”
Pentapostagma also points out that the Azerbaijani Air Force has MiG-29 aircrafts, which the Greek aviation has never encountered in aerial combat.
