The European Union is well aware of Baku’s position. During our discussion, we talked about the situation in the region and the progress of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This was stated by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, at a joint press conference with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, according to Minval.
Speaking about negotiations with Yerevan, the minister emphasized that Azerbaijan expects concrete steps from the Armenian side.
“We have repeatedly stated that Armenia must amend its constitution and agree to the final dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Bayramov noted.
The minister expressed concern over the rise of revanchist sentiments in Armenia and the active import of offensive weaponry. He also recalled the recent incident on the central square in Yerevan, where Azerbaijani and Turkish flags were burned.
“Unfortunately, a similar act took place in Paris. We expect real legislative measures to be taken in both Armenia and France against such provocations. Such disrespect toward the state symbols of other countries is unacceptable,” Bayramov stated.
