It was noted at the meeting held at the Palace of Westminster that United Kingdom is a reliable partner and one of the largest investors in Azerbaijan and supports the country’s territorial integrity. Bilateral close cooperation within the Council of Europe, the OSCE and other international organizations, high tolerance toward ethnics and minorities in both countries, loyalty to multicultural values were also touched upon at the meeting.
Elshad Aliyev, deputy chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora also attended the meeting.
Fuad Muradov also meet members of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords Mohamed Sheikh, Qurban Hussain and Malcolm Bruce.
It was noted that good conditions had been created for the integration of the Azerbaijanis into the local community.
Committee chairman noted the necessity of the program for expanding opportunities of the young Azerbaijani students, which can be supported by the Azerbaijani government.
Members of the House of Lords mentioned the important role of Azerbijan in the region. The involvement of the investors from the UK , in the rebuilding process in the Azerbaijani lands recently liberated from the occupation, was also discussed at the meeting.
