Elchin Amirbayov meets with Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations.

State Minister Tsuji emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan as a partner for Japan, expressing appreciation for the deepening of friendly ties between the two countries, especially in the economic field, including energy cooperation. They also discussed the regional situation, with Mr. Amirbayov providing an explanation of the current events in the Caucasus and Azerbaijan’s position. State Minister Tsuji praised the peace efforts, including the ongoing peace agreement negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, stressing the importance of stability in the region.

Both sides confirmed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation on the international stage and to further promote bilateral relations.
