Kadri Simson, the European Commissioner for Energy, is set to visit Azerbaijan to participate in two pivotal events aimed at bolstering energy cooperation and advancing green energy initiatives. During her visit, Simson will attend the 10th ministerial meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) Advisory Council and the second ministerial meeting focused on green energy.
Scheduled for March 1st in Baku, these meetings will serve as platforms for discussing the further development of the Southern Gas Corridor, a significant energy project aimed at increasing natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Europe. The second meeting will be dedicated to discussions on green energy initiatives, highlighting Europe’s commitment to reducing dependence on fossil fuels and transitioning towards more sustainable energy sources.
