Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia over the past 30 years can be characterized as the progressive development of friendly and good-neighborly relations, which have reached the level of strategic partnership, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Report informs.
“Today we held detailed discussions, talked about a wide range of issues regarding bilateral relations, and had the opportunity to sum up the past year’s results and plans for this year,” Bayramov said, recalling that last year the two countries celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
“The cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia can be characterized as the progressive development of friendly and good neighborly relations that have reached the level of strategic partnership. And in this context, the Declaration signed last year is the logical outcome of this 30-year historic period,” said the Azerbaijani minister.
According to him, very trusting relations have been built between Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation.
