The signing came as part of Burchuladze’s visit to Azerbaijan, where the officials discussed the bilateral defence cooperation and participation in international training and educational initiatives, in addition to security issues of the Black Sea region, the Ministry of Defence said.
Burchuladze and Hasanov also confirmed the willingness of their offices to deepen ties, while reviewing the format of trilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.
“Strategic-level” meetings, joint exercises and meetings between experts to further strengthen the interoperability between the countries’ defence forces were also on the agenda of the meeting.
