This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his speech at the third meeting of the 3+3 cooperation platform in Istanbul.
Hakan Fidan believes that the problems of the South Caucasus can be solved by the countries of the region themselves. The minister added that a joint statement will be adopted following the meeting.
Additionally, the Turkish minister urged the Georgian side to join the platform’s work to seek joint solutions to regional issues, as it provides the countries of the region with an opportunity to explore cooperation possibilities.
“This platform is intended to facilitate the search for joint solutions to regional issues. Unfortunately, one of the regional countries is not represented here, but the platform is still called 3+3. I would like to once again emphasize that our close neighbor and friend Georgia will always have a place on this platform, and they can always join,” he said.
