According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister highlighted the potential to turn existing challenges in areas such as security, economy, trade, energy, transportation, communications, environmental protection, as well as natural and man-made disasters, into opportunities for regional cooperation. He also expressed Azerbaijan’s stance on the peace process and normalization in the post-conflict period.
Bayramov emphasized that since regaining independence, Azerbaijan has been developing mutually beneficial cooperation with regional states, based on mutual respect, a balance of interests, and legitimate security concerns. As a result, projects of regional and global significance, such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars and North-South corridors, have been implemented. There is an expectation that joint projects will also include the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, specifically the completion of communication links connecting Azerbaijan’s East Zangezur economic region with Nakhchivan through Iranian territory.
