The conversation touched upon the operations within the Southern Gas Corridor, stressing the role of Azerbaijan in Europe’s energy security and diversification of gas supplies. The parties exchanged views on increasing gas exports from Azerbaijan to Europe.
Aliyev and Lochman also highlighted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and US in various fields.
The Azerbaijani leader praised Washington’s continued support for Baku in the implementation of global energy projects. Another issue discussed at the meeting was the large-scale work being carried out in Azerbaijan in the field of power engineering and renewable energy sources.
