Presidential aide Anar Alakbarov briefed the head of state on the readiness of the venue for the COP29 event, according to AzerTac.
The President was also informed about the overall construction work taking place in the Blue Zone, which spans 49 hectares around the stadium, the design of the spaces, the organization of various services for guests, the preparation of transportation operations in the capital, the accommodation arrangements for guests, and other event-related efforts. In addition, updates were provided on the creation of an 8-hectare Green Zone.
It was emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken in the country to ensure COP29 is held at a high level, with the required infrastructure being established.
Ilham Aliyev issued instructions and directives related to the upcoming work.
