President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with AzTV during his visit to the village of Basgal.
“The Second Karabakh War showed our strength, and we achieved what we wanted by military and then military-political means. When the time comes, we will achieve our other goals. We know what needs to be done and when to do it. Armenia also knows that we do what we say we will. We have repeatedly warned Armenia not to play with fire and to behave. They must accept the new realities and not resort to military provocations,” the head of state said.
“Why should our sons die after the war? Why should Armenians kill them? We cannot allow that. I will say it once again: if such provocations continue, there will be an even harsher response. They will regret it even more, and they will plead for mercy even louder. But we do not want another war. Enough is enough. We have achieved what we wanted,” the President said.
Ilham Aliyev also stressed that Azerbaijan wants the complete withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Karabakh.
“That is Armenia’s commitment,” the President pointed out. “It is reflected in the act of capitulation signed by Armenia on November 10, 2020.”
