Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has invited President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to visit Israel, according to the Embassy of the Jewish state in Baku.
The embassy’s statement also notes that a memorandum of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, signed between Israel and Azerbaijan on February 3, provides for strengthening cooperation in supercomputers, critical civilian applications, human capital development, and joint research.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Israel’s Ambassador to Baku, Ronen Kraus, said that “AI is not only artificial intelligence, but also a symbol of the strengthening and development of relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.”
Yesterday, speaking at an event, Netanyahu conveyed his greetings to Ilham Aliyev.
“Please convey my warmest regards to President Aliyev,” Netanyahu said.
“We always say, ‘Next year in Jerusalem.’ Tell him (Ilham Aliyev – ed.): ‘This year in Jerusalem.’ Let him come and visit us. He will be very warmly welcomed,” Netanyahu stated.
