Lavrov emphasized that if Baku and Yerevan can reach an agreement directly, without intermediaries, it would be welcomed. Neighboring countries have already expressed their willingness to support this process.

According to Lavrov, Western countries continue their efforts to destabilize the situation in the region, including in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and are attempting to open a “second front” against Russia.
Speaking about the situation in Ukraine, Lavrov pointed out that every time Russia supports specific agreements, Kyiv violates them, leading to the loss of Ukrainian territories. He also added that Moscow has no interest in the secret addenda to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s “plan.”
Regarding recent statements from Kyiv about the possibility of Ukraine developing nuclear weapons, Lavrov called these ideas “mad” and stressed that Ukraine has no chance of realizing such plans.
