Lavrov: Working group is engaged in unblocking communications in South Caucasus

Lavrov spoke about the activities of the working group to unblock communications:

“It works smoothly while meetings are held on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The working group has made significant progress in reaching agreements, which, I hope, will be formalized in the near future. It is imperative that the work is carried out not in isolation, but in close connection with broader transport projects, including North-South.”

He also noted that there were discussions at the meeting on the ongoing talks between Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan regarding the construction of a small section of the Rasht-Astara railway, Report informs.

According to the Russian minister, contacts of specialists are planned for September.
