This was reported by the Report news agency, citing the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany. The embassy conducted a thorough investigation of the archives at Dachau, which led to the identification of Azerbaijani soldiers who were imprisoned.

Dachau was one of the first concentration camps established on German soil. It gained worldwide notoriety due to the cruel human experiments conducted on its prisoners. The installation of the memorial plaque is an important act of restoring historical justice and commemorating the victims of Nazism.

The unveiling of the plaque not only recognizes the suffering of the Azerbaijanis who ended up in the death camps but also emphasizes the importance of international remembrance of crimes against humanity. This event also helps strengthen the ties between Azerbaijan and Germany in their joint efforts to preserve historical memory and combat the forgetting of tragic historical events.
