On April 19, 2024, the eighth meeting of the State Commission for the Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia took place. This meeting also involved the Commission on Delimitation and Border Security between the two countries.
The sides preliminarily agreed on the passage of specific segments of the border line directly between the settlements of Baganis (RA) – Baghanis Ayrim (AR), Voskepar (RA) – Ashagy Askipara (AR), Kirants (RA) – Kheyrimli (AR), and Berkaber (RA) – Gyzylgadzhily (AR) to align them with the legally established inter-republican border that existed at the time of the Soviet Union’s dissolution.
