Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed Armenia’s interest in a project involving the laying of an underwater cable for the supply of electricity from Azerbaijan to Europe.
“Our region can become a very important conduit between the South and North, the West and East. In all of this, inclusivity is crucial, where every state is given the opportunity to participate in economic projects. A good example of this is the Black Sea cable project, in which Armenia has a great interest,” Pashinyan said during a joint briefing with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili following the Tbilisi meeting of the intergovernmental economic commission.
In turn, Garibashvili spoke about the importance of working on “projects of regional significance” and noted Armenia’s interest in the underwater electric cable project.
