The President highlighted that Azerbaijan stands tall without yielding to external pressure, charting an honest and dignified path. “This is our great treasure,” he noted. He also addressed the ongoing global crises, including wars, conflicts, and foreign interventions, assuring that Azerbaijan remains untouched by such issues and will continue to uphold its stability.
President Aliyev also spoke about the restoration efforts in the territories liberated from occupation. He described the process as unprecedented on a global scale, with life being rebuilt from scratch.
“On an area spanning 15-16 thousand square kilometers, completely destroyed by Armenia, a new life is emerging – modern, beautiful, and comfortable,” the President stated. These initiatives showcase not only infrastructure redevelopment but also the resilience and spirit of the Azerbaijani people.
The President announced large-scale restoration and renovation projects set to begin in the city of Ganja in 2025. The plans include a complete overhaul of urban infrastructure, modernization of public transportation, and restoration of historical buildings.
“Ganja, the birthplace of Nizami, will be presented as an ancient yet modern city, reflecting the beauty and richness of Azerbaijani culture,” said Ilham Aliyev. He added that these transformations will display the city’s historical and contemporary identity to the CIS region and beyond.
President Aliyev concluded his speech by reaffirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to advancing confidently, strengthening its international standing, and harnessing its internal potential to achieve even greater success.
