During the 5th meeting of the health ministers of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), a meeting took place between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Oljas Bektenov, and the health ministers of the member and observer countries of the OTS.
This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the relationships between our countries are developing dynamically. The exceptional attention and support from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, was also noted on this matter.
The Minister of Health of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, expressed his gratitude to the employees of the Ministry of Health and other state bodies in Kazakhstan, as well as to all the citizens of the fraternal country who provided timely assistance to the victims of the aircraft crash of Azerbaijan Airlines near Aktau on December 25 of last year, while it was carrying out a passenger flight from Baku to Grozny.
It was brought to attention that, in addition to the bilateral development of relationships between our countries, successful cooperation on international platforms continues. The Minister of Health of Azerbaijan also thanked Kazakhstan for supporting the initiatives proposed by our country within the framework of the OTS.
Subsequently, a meeting was held with the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tamara Duisenova. During the meeting, it was emphasized that in recent years the relations between the countries of the Organization of Turkic States in various fields, including healthcare, have been developing dynamically.
As part of the event, the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, held a series of bilateral meetings.
In the meeting with the Minister of Health of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova, issues such as the accreditation of medical organizations, the provision of emergency medical assistance during emergencies, the current state of cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science, as well as potential prospects for development were discussed.
Teymur Musayev also had a meeting with Hans Henry Klug, the Director of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization (WHO). During the meeting, both parties positively assessed the effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WHO.
