The chairman warmly welcomed the guests and discussed Azerbaijan’s diaspora policy, highlighting large-scale projects and expressing satisfaction with the cooperation with the Congress. He also conveyed his confidence in the continuation of current relations at a strategic level of cooperation.
Boris Kandov, along with Leon Nektalov, Head of the Center for Bukharian Jews of the USA and Canada, and Raphael Nektalov, Chief Editor of the “Bukharian Times” and Coordinator of the Congress, praised the Azerbaijani state for its multiculturalism and tolerance. They noted that the friendly, fraternal relations between Bukharian Jews and Azerbaijani communities abroad continue to strengthen, making the exchange of experiences even more effective.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed during the meeting between the Foundation for Support of the Azerbaijani Diaspora and the Congress of Bukharian Jews of the USA and Canada, symbolizing a step forward in their collaborative efforts.
The meeting concluded with the presentation of the book “Favorite Musical Works of Heydar Aliyev” among other materials published with the support of the foundation, to the guests.
The Congress of Bukharian Jews of the USA and Canada is notable for uniting over 100 cultural centers, educational, community, and media institutions, demonstrating the extensive network and influence of the Bukharian Jewish community in North America.
