The EU plans to invest in making Armenia’s economy and society more developing and sustainable, stated von der Leyen. She also supported Armenia’s efforts to prevent the circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions. “The EU promised to stand with Armenia, and today it is fulfilling that promise,” she added.
In turn, the U.S. Secretary of State reported that the States would provide Armenia with more than $65 million, which is 50% more than two years ago.
“We are here to affirm transatlantic support for the democratic and prosperous future of the Armenian people, as well as for a more integrated and peaceful South Caucasus region,” he declared.
