The Jury for Short Films and La Cinéf at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, composed of Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar, Claudine Nougaret, Paolo Moretti, and Vladimir Perišić, will be chaired by Belgian actress Lubna Azabal. She will be responsible for awarding the Palme d’Or for short films as well as the three La Cinéf prizes, a selection intended for school films presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
This Jury will view the ten films competing in the short film category and the eighteen films of La Cinéf, all unveiled today.
Regarding the Short Film Competition, after reviewing 4,420 films, eleven films will be presented this year, coming from ten different countries: Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, the United States, France, Kosovo, Lithuania, and Portugal. The Palme d’Or for short films will be awarded by the jury chaired by Lubna Azabal during the closing ceremony of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, on Saturday, May 25th.
