The party no longer harbors warm feelings towards their pro-Western colleague, as Grigoryan has at some point broken away from the team and come to the forefront, reports the ‘Hraparak’ newspaper.
It has been noticed that Armen Grigoryan, who denies his Karabakh origins, stands out in the West from other party members and is even considered to be the successor of Nikol Pashinyan. The newspaper notes that if Pashinyan fails to meet the West’s demands, refuses to sign an agreement, and does not conduct a clear policy towards Russia, it is possible that he will be replaced by Grigoryan, who would hesitate less and be more eager to implement his plans.
The article emphasizes that, according to information obtained in the internal party discussions of the ruling party, initially Pashinyan did not take this scenario seriously, but now he is concerned about Armen Grigoryan’s independent dealings with the West.
