According to the Ministry of Defense, the two defense ministers discussed military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Irakli Chikovani emphasized that meetings between the heads of the two states play a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Colonel General Zakir Hasanov noted that bilateral relations are continuously developing not only in the military sector but also in many other areas. He added that mutual visits and meetings in various formats are a clear example of the high level of cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the prospects for military cooperation were discussed, as well as an exchange of views on increasing the frequency of joint exercises. Support for the territorial integrity of both countries, recognized at the international level, was also highlighted.
The parties further discussed ensuring peace and security in the region, exploring new prospects for cooperation in military, military-technical, and defense fields, along with other issues of mutual interest.
